For three millenia, Shabbat has been the Jewish oasis in time. We anticipate its arrival. We set aside special food and clothing for it. Shabbat is at the very center for Jewish consciousness. On Shabbat, we are all kings. We take advantage of the extra spirituality infused in the Shabbat day to focus on our spiritual goals, which we express through the prayer service, the learning of Torah, festive meals, and time spent with family and friends. It is celebrated all around the world, and the RJX is committed to giving everyone the chance to experience it. Spend Shabbat with friends at a shabbaton, over the bridge in Highland Park, or virtually anywhere in the world; It is yours to celebrate…
Featured Hosts: Jonathan and Nadine Teitelbaum

Jonathan, a director of human resources, and Nadine, a pharmacist, have been actively involved with RJX students since its inception, hosting shabbat meals, Kiddushes, and involved in the Sinai Xperience. They have 3 loveable children – ages 6, 4 and 2.

As a family, they love hosting RJX students, no matter their background, to spend a shabbat together just relaxing, talking (about anything!) and of course enjoying amazing food!

In their own words…”Please come for a shabbat to experience a special atmosphere, to join our extended family and to have fun! The beds are already made and waiting for you!”
